Academic Support
The Valor Program
The Valor Program at Paragon Prep is a supportive space where students with diagnosed learning disabilities or academic challenges can thrive. We give the tools, support, and encouragement they need to discover their talents, find the best ways to learn, and reach their goals by using their strengths.
Students may join the program if they have a recent evaluation from a professional or a recommendation from a teacher, parent, or the program director. If a student does not have a diagnosed learning difference, we may need to meet to decide if the program is the right fit and to set goals. Every student gets a plan based on the evaluation, which is kept private and secure.
Students do not have to stay in the program throughout their time at our school. Once they show that they can succeed on their own, they can leave. While the program is great for helping with learning needs, it may not support certain behavior plans.

Program Details
More About Valor
- Students attend 3–5 days per week.
- Focus areas include organizational and planning strategies, effective study habits, academic support, and social-emotional guidance.
- Middle school students join group sessions during study hall or before school (zero hour).
- We keep a close eye on how each child is doing. Parents receive updates during conferences held at the end of each trimester and school year.
- For students with specific learning needs, like dyslexia or dysgraphia, extra help from therapists or tutors outside of school might be needed. This makes sure our program matches expert advice and fits each child’s unique needs.

K–3 Valor Program
Our program for children in grades K–3 is made for young learners who need extra help in small groups or one-on-one. It helps them build important skills and feel confident so they can do well in their classwork.
Highlights:
- Help is available in phonics, spelling, reading comprehension, vocabulary, handwriting, math, science, and social studies.
- Lessons include social-emotional learning to support the whole child.
- Sessions are held 3–5 days per week, based on need.
- Tutors work closely with parents and teachers to track progress, update learning plans, and ensure growth. This teamwork helps each child thrive.
