Head of School Weekly Update – 3/24/25

Dear Paragon Families,

I hope you all had a restful and refreshing Spring Break, filled with time to recharge and make memories with your families and friends. The picture above is from my own recharge. My Native Floridian background comes in strong on breaks with a quest for toes in the sand, salt in the air, and an infinite ocean horizon with infinite possibilities.

Slowing down and the reflection on the past week’s events was powerful and necessary for me. I hope you all had your version of this rejuvenation. Spending time with my family and (mostly) disconnecting from business helped me unwind.

I want to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude for the overwhelming support we received last week. Your kindness—through donations, meals, and words of encouragement—has meant the world to me and our staff. Thanks to the incredible efforts of our janitorial and maintenance team, as well as our dedicated staff, and the swift action of contractors, our middle school classrooms have been fully restored and are ready to welcome students back on Monday.

Spring Break not only gave us the chance to recover but also allowed us all to reset and refocus. With just a few months left in the school year, this is the perfect time to buckle down and keep our eyes on what matters most—finishing strong. Let’s encourage our students to stay engaged and committed to their growth. I know it is hard with the taste of vacations and fun, but this last push is one of the most important in your student’s growth.

This week, I will be traveling with our 5th and 6th graders to Virginia, where we will explore some of the nation’s most historic sites. From walking in the footsteps of our country’s founders to experiencing living history, this trip is an incredible opportunity for hands-on learning and building lifelong memories. I will be out Monday through Thursday, but rest assured that our dedicated team will keep everything running smoothly on campus.

Thank you again for being part of our Paragon family. I am eager to see all of our students’ smiling faces back on campus, ready to take on the exciting weeks ahead!

Warmly,

Lindsay Hay, M.Ed.
