Head of School Weekly Update – 2/3/25

Dear Paragon Families,

Our Middle School Formal was an absolute success! It was wonderful to see our students dressed up and enjoying the Frosty Fete theme with their classmates. They carried themselves with such confidence and joy, making the night truly special. A huge thank you to our staff, volunteers, and families who helped make the event so memorable! These moments of fun and connection are such an important part of the Paragon experience.

As we settle into the second half of the school year, we’re looking ahead to some exciting opportunities for both students and parents. Next week, we are hosting our Parent Coffee, and I’m thrilled to share that we have a special guest speaker, Becca Cohen, discussing executive functioning in kids. This is an essential topic for understanding how children develop focus, organization, and self-regulation skills—key building blocks for academic and personal success. I encourage all parents to attend– this will be an insightful and valuable session!

In addition to our Parent Coffee, we are also preparing for Student-Parent-Teacher Conferences. These meetings provide a great opportunity to check in on your child’s progress, celebrate their achievements, and collaborate on goals for the remainder of the year. Our teachers look forward to partnering with you to support your child’s growth.

Another exciting event on the horizon is our annual Science Expo! This is one of the highlights of the year, where students showcase their curiosity, creativity, and scientific discoveries. Whether it’s an experiment, an engineering project, or a research presentation, the Science Expo is a chance for our students to shine and demonstrate their hard work. We can’t wait to see what they come up with this year!

As we move through the rest of the school year, I encourage you to stay engaged and involved in these opportunities. Events like the dances, Parent Coffees, conferences, and the Science Expo are all part of what makes our Paragon community so special. Your support and participation enrich our students’ experiences and strengthen the connections that make our school feel like home.

Thank you for being such an integral part of our Paragon family. I look forward to seeing you at these upcoming events and continuing this journey together!

Warmly,

Lindsay Hay, M. Ed.
