Elsass Academy was started in northwest Austin in 1985 as a spinoff of Crenshaw Athletic Club’s preschool program. In 2005, Elsass Academy moved to our current location on Houston Street. It has always been our vision to create a program that will be here well into the future. For that reason, we have some exciting news to share with you. As we transition into the summer, Elsass Academy will be merging with Paragon Prep School with the support of their partners, Spring Education Group. Together, this allows two of the most prestigious schools in Austin to build a lifelong legacy in two separate campuses.
Both Elsass Academy and Paragon Prep School have always had a dream to impact as many families as possible with our stellar reputations as educational leaders in the community. We have a vision of two all-encompassing schools from our infants to 8th graders. With the help of our amazing staff and families from both schools, this will become a reality. We highly value and appreciate your partnership in the education of your child, and we look forward to this continued relationship in the years to come.
Paragon Prep at 5206 Balcones Drive is an exceptionally strong Pre-K through 8th grade private school. Our connection came about with Paragon’s desire to add a stellar preschool and after school care program at our current location on Houston Street, all of this while making very few changes in our program. Our entire staff and management are being welcomed with open arms. This is truly a win-win for all.
While this new partnership will begin very soon, nothing will change for Elsass Academy for the upcoming summer and into the 2023-24 school year. Elsass Academy will become a second Paragon campus, continuing to offer programs for infant through Pre-K as well as continuing our After School Program for our Brentwood, Highland Park and Gullett families. The merger will allow for some exciting renovations to the campus both on the inside and outside of the buildings. It is also worth noting that as our preschoolers graduate, they will have the opportunity to enroll in the nearby Paragon Prep School main campus on Balcones Drive.
Paragon brings strength to our school that is unimaginable, not just today or tomorrow, but years into the future. While so many programs struggled over the past few years, our school has taken a positive step so that we can continue to be here for your family. Parents like you have enabled us to remain a strong preschool for almost 40 years. We will be forever grateful.
