Head of School Weekly Update – 1/20/25

Dear Paragon Families,

First, my heart goes out to all the families impacted by the devastating California wildfires. The destruction they face is profound, and the challenges of rebuilding their lives—especially for children, students, and families—are immense.

At Paragon, we believe in the power of community, compassion, and action. One of our Spring Education Group schools, the Stratford Altadena Campus in Los Angeles, lies within the affected area. While their campus was fortunately spared, many of their families and staff have suffered heartbreaking losses of homes and property.

In true Paragon spirit, our Student Council stepped up. Last Sunday, Mrs. Behr texted me to share their idea of hosting an emergency bake sale to support fire victims. I immediately said yes, and I couldn’t be more proud of the compassion and initiative shown by our students.

In the last-minute bake sale on Wednesday, our Student Council sold out of baked goods in the first lunch period, prompting a staff member to head out to buy more for the second lunch period. Their efforts raised incredibly over $500 which will be donated directly to families affected by the wildfires through an upcoming GoFundMe campaign organized by our SEG sister schools. Once the link is available, we’ll share it with you for additional voluntary donations.

This outpouring of generosity from our students and families is a reminder of what makes Paragon so special. It’s this same shared commitment to our values and community that keeps us striving for excellence year after year.

With that, I want to remind you that our priority re-enrollment window for the 2025-26 school year is upon us: Monday, January 13, through Monday, January 27, 2025. During this time, you can secure your child’s spot and enjoy a discounted registration fee before we open enrollment to new families. Simply log into Campus Connect using your primary email and navigate to the “Student Enrollment” tab to complete your re-enrollment.

We look forward to continuing this journey with your family and making next year even more impactful. Thank you for being a vital part of our compassionate and generous community.

Warm regards,

Lindsay Hay, M. Ed.
