Head of School Weekly Update – 1/4/2025

Hello Paragon Families,

Welcome back! I hope your break was filled with rest, joy, and plenty of meaningful moments with your loved ones. Taking time away from the daily routines of school is so important for our well-being—it allows us to reset, recharge, and reconnect with what matters most.

I want to take a moment to sincerely thank you for the generous holiday bonus that the parents collected for our staff. Your kindness and thoughtfulness mean so much to us. A special thanks to Jenny Chasteen Rodriguez and Phil Loewy for going above and beyond to make sure our faculty and staff felt cared for.

The Parents of Paragon play such a vital role in building our school community, and we are truly grateful for each and every one of you. Thank you for your support and for making our school such a special place.

Over the break, I was able to spend time reviewing our October school survey results. I am excited to share our results with the staff on Monday. An overwhelming 98% of parents are satisfied or highly satisfied with the Paragon experience so far– which is wonderful!

For those of you looking for some program additions, I hear you! We are working on returning to our Mandarin program, adjusting some aspects of our travel plans, and adding in more communication avenues. If you would like to meet with me to discuss any other improvements to the Paragon experience, please let me know! I would love to hear from you.

I hope you were able to enjoy quality time and nurture yourself as well as your families during this break!

As we step into this new year, I am filled with excitement for what’s ahead. I’m thrilled to see the halls buzzing with energy and curiosity once again. Together, we’ll continue to foster a love of learning, celebrate our traditions, and support one another in growth.

Wishing you a happy and successful start to 2025. Let’s make it a year to remember!

Warm regards,

Lindsay Hay, M. Ed.
