Virginia Woodruff is an east coaster who made her way to Austin as fast as she could. As a teacher, creative writer, and mom of three, she lives in the world of kids and creativity.
A published essayist in The Washington Post, The Huffington Post, and Brain, Child, she also edited the blog “Great Moments in Parenting,” a SXSW Interactive award winner.
She holds a BA in English from U Penn, an MA in English from UT-Austin, and an MFA in Film Directing/Production from UCLA.
She previously taught at Trinity Episcopal School, St. Andrew’s Episcopal School, AESA Prep, and the Badgerdog creative writing program. Her passion is connecting students with their writing and making Shakespeare fun. She’s also the butler to a bossy Corgi and a crazy Yorkie!
